Quran - Hams · last updated 17 October 2026
No account, no tracking
The app needs no account, collects no name or email, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Location
If you allow location, it is used once, on your device, to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction, and stored only on your device at about 1 km precision. It is never sent to any server. You can pick your city manually instead.
Notifications
Adhan, athkar and reading reminders are scheduled on your device. General announcements (such as a confirmed moon sighting) arrive through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging as a public topic subscription that carries nothing about you; we do not store device identifiers.
What stays on your device
Settings, reading position, bookmarks, tasbih counts and downloaded recitations are stored on your device and removed when you delete the app.
Network
The app connects to the Hams server (hams.coderv.net) to download and refresh the Mushaf page layout, to Quran Foundation servers for page fonts, and to mp3quran.net for recitations and radio. These requests carry nothing about you beyond what any internet connection does (such as an IP address), and we keep no logs linking them to you.
